Government

Government data centers perform computing functions vital to federal agencies yet require large amounts of energy and infrastructure resources to operate. Demand routinely exceeds resource capability and capacity. Absent of knowledge, current resources are unable to be implemented efficiently and without risk.

Data centers have become resource constrained. Budgets and backing do not always exist to construct new data centers or add UPS capacity. Recently, a government data center was out of capacity with no room to grow.

Fortunately, NORLINX Global Site Management (GSM™) was in place.

When the facility team began, they were out of capacity. When finished, they had reduced two-thirds of their UPS load. This reduction essentially tripled their capacity. The information GSM™ provided allowed them to contract smartly and effectively, going after the largest loads first. When the new build-out became denser per cabinet, due to blade and VM servers, construction was able to take place without risk to the new environment.

At NORLINX, we are committed to preserving business resources while increasing productivity and efficiency. Our intelligent management solutions provide the tools required to manage power usage, reduce risk of failure, and assure uptime, all while allowing you to take full advantage of existing resources.

NORLINX solutions supply Government data center managers the necessary tools to meet the requirements of the National Data Center Energy Efficiency Information Program, encompassing a wide variety of activities from the DOE Industrial Technologies Program: Save Energy Now, the DOE Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP), and the EPA ENERGY STAR program.
